Kashmira Mistry

Kash Mistry has shaped her skill in ceramics and stained glass for many years and discovered
the craft of fusing glass more recently. She adds a sculptural and whimsical approach to unique
and dramatic works of art, from fish and trees to birds and abstract designs.
Her work is also functional, and her pieces reflect sophistication with functionality. She creates
bowls, platters, and her channel dishes certainly make a statement, and of course the beautiful
handcrafted jewelry that adorns.
Kash thoroughly enjoys her newfound calling in glass and takes great pleasure in giving her
clients and collectors, a more diverse selection of her creations. The delight she experiences in
the process of creating far outshines the hazards of fusing glass. What fascinates Kash most
about the media she uses are the sparkle and malleability at high temperatures.
Kash is no stranger to the local arts community. She is an active member of the Grapevine Arts
Project and participates in local arts events such as Grapefest and Grapevine’s Main Street Fest.
She had been a member of The Texas Pottery and Sculpture Guild till it was no more.
She has been featured in Southlake “Style“ magazine.
Her artwork has been exhibited at Keller Town Hall and at galleries in Denison and Grapevine,
Texas, and in Florida. Before the pandemic she was an Artist In Residence at The Westlake
Academy. She also supports the ”Empty Bowls” project to raise funds for The Tarrant Area Food
Bank by making ceramic bowls and platters.

“I strive to make people happy when they see my glass and clay pieces. Whether decorative or
functional, I create art that brings joy to the art collector. For me, my creativity also reflects my
