    Prospectus: The Female Gaze

    RTown Gallery announces a call for entry for The Female Gaze, a group exhibition celebrating women artists and the many ways they observe, interpret, and express the world around them.

    This exhibition highlights work created through women’s perspectives—shaped by memory, experience, and imagination. We welcome artwork that reflects personal vision, exploration, and creative intention across all styles and mediums. The Female Gaze honors the richness and diversity of women’s voices and the many ways they engage with the world through art.

    Exhibition Dates:

    The exhibition will be on view at RTown Gallery during the month of March.

    Eligibility: Open to women artists working in 2-D and 3-D mediums. Artwork must be no more than 48 inches in any direction, including the framing or mounting. The size given for works should be the framed size. 2D accepted work must be suitably framed or on gallery wrapped canvas and must be wired and ready for installation.

    All works must be priced to sell. Works marked "NFS" will be disqualified without refund.


    Any artwork that fails to meet requirements upon drop off will not be included in the show.

    Juror Information: Closed Jury​

    Fees: $35 submission fee, nonrefundable. Fee must be paid separate from the "Submit" button. Submissions that fail to pay the application fee will not be considered.

    *All sales made through the show will be a traditional 50/50 split between Gallery and Artist.​

    Important dates:

    • Submission Deadline: February 15th @ 11:59 PM
    • Notification of Acceptance: February 18th, 2026
    • Artwork Drop Off: February 20th- February 22nd
    • Artist Reception: Saturday, March 7th, 2026, 7-9 PM
    • Exhibition Dates: March 1st – March 31st, 2025
    • Artwork Pick-Up: Wednesday, March 1st, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

    Requirements: Please submit images with the following specifications:

    • 72 ppi
    • 800 pixels on the longest side
    • No borders around the image
    • JPEG file format

      Label your image files with a corresponding entry number, your last name, and the title of the artwork—if it is a long title, you may use a keyword or abbreviation (i.e. 01Baker_Homeplace.jpg).

      Please include the following with your entry: Title, Medium, Scale (h x w inches), Date, Price.​

      Applications that fail to meet entry requirements will not be considered, without refund.​​​​
